We have managed to extend our lives though modern medicine, pharmaceuticals and technology with a philosophy that we deserve to live longer, healthier and happier but with no responsibility as to the actions we take. Many people believe that it doesn’t matter what foods we eat or that we barely exercise just as long as a pill will cure all. This misconception is key to so much suffering and is part of the reason on why we opened this studio. In the western world we are facing an epidemic called obesity. Nowhere is it more apparent than in our modern life as it is filled with sugar and a lack of exercise. While sugar and oxygen is the food for our cells, today’s food chain has been compromised by the modernization of society and the greed of big business. Everywhere we go we see processed foods, candies, breads and pastas which are all high glycemic foods that convert to sugar rapidly. When too much sugar enters the body (too fast), all excess sugar is stored in fat cells for later consumption for when food is not available. However given our constant high caloric rate of eating and lack of exercise, this excess fat never really gets used up and more and more fat accumulates. Fast forward a couple of years of this abuse and voila we get the creation of our actions. My program is unique in which I teach you how to balance your body by both eating correctly and exercising. The Hot Yoga burns a lot of calories of fat which is critical to weight loss! I teach you how to eat correctly, what foods to avoid, correct portion sizes, when to eat and frequency. When used in combination with Hot Yoga and caloric restriction you will see a radical difference in your appearance and how you feel.
Modern life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. For many people, stress is so commonplace that it has become a way of life. The body doesn’t distinguish between physical and psychological threats. When you’re stressed over a busy schedule, an argument with a friend, a traffic jam, or a mountain of bills, your body reacts just as strongly as if you were facing a life-or-death situation. If you have a lot of responsibilities and worries your emergency stress response may be “on” most of the time. The more your body’s stress system is activated the easier it is to be short tempered and the harder it is to shut off. Long-term exposure to stress can lead to serious health problems as chronic stress disrupts nearly every system in your body. It can raise blood pressure, suppress the immune system, increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, and speed up the aging process massively. Long-term stress is not something any of us want or need in our life, here is your chance to do something about it!

Our program helps bring your mind into a meditative state by setting intention, learning to breathe properly and through the movement, stretching and strengthening of your body. Once the mind is relaxed the body moves into its natural parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) state in which the body naturally repairs itself. Just even a few hours a week of my program will make a big difference to how you perceive and handle stress. It will decrease stress hormones like cortisol and increase endorphins (your body’s ‘feel-good’ chemicals) by giving your mood a natural boost. It will pull out stress and tension from your muscular skeletal symptoms thereby reducing pain and increase your life force energy. Best of all you will feel good and look better after each workout.
In modern society there is much toxicity from heavy metals, pesticides and herbicides. It is riddled in most of the packaged stuff we buy and there is no escaping it unless you are willing to make everything from scratch. Our bodies have the natural ability to detoxify but we never really detoxify properly because of the lack of movement in our daily lives. Through heat and movement my program will help rid the body of many toxins that accumulate which helps the body to balance itself back to homeostasis (self-healing). When you detoxify, you are flushing accumulated poisons from your system by taking a load off your body. The elimination of some of the stress on the body slows the aging process. Your kidneys, digestive system and liver are the workhorses of the body’s natural detoxification system. When you remove some of the strain on these organs, they will work better and of course last longer. Once your system has been released from the prison of built up toxins and poisons, your organs will be able to use their extra energy to restore and renew your body’s cells. Your body will be better able to fend off ailments and prevent debilitating progressive decline.
